A high altitude vineyard facing the Mediterranean Sea.

Domaine de la Bégude is a family winegrowing estate located on the summit of BANDOL wine appellation. Most of its vineyard is located at 430 meter altitude just in front of the Mediterranean Sea. Some buildings, such as part of the cellar of vinification, date from the 7th century.

The characteristic of Domaine de la Bégude come from its very rocky and very calcareous soil, from the presence of the Mistral, fresh and dry wind which contributes to the good health of the vines and their grapes, as well as from an exceptional sun exposure of about 3000 hours a year. This soil allows the production of wines in the three colors, each of them with a strong personality. The red wines, aged up to 18 months in barrels made of French oak, have an aging potential which can go up to 15 years.

“This terroir allows us to produce white, rose and red wines, with a very particular personality thanks to the combination of all these natural elements”.
